Jesus in Islam

Muslims have a high regard for Jesus, but not as a Christian might have.
The revere and regard him highly and follow the mention of his name with the Muslim expression of
respect,
"Praise be unto Him!"
Muslims claim that Jesus was one of the greatest prophets of God, but not as great as Muhammad.
The believe in his virgin birth!
They refer to him as the Messiah (of the Jews), a Prophet of God, and a Messenger of God.
Jesus is mentioned over 93 times in the Quran.

But:
Muslims deny that Jesus was the divine the Son of God.
They deny any belief in the Trinity, and maintain that this is the worst of sins.
They deny that Jesus was crucified and resurrected.  Their view is that someone took Jesus' place on the cross!
They believe that God "took" him up to heaven before he died, somewhat like Elijah!
They deny any form of atoning death of Jesus.
Muslims deny the claim that salvation is in Jesus and Jesus alone, and that unless one believes that Jesus is the Son of God one cannot be saved.
